Advanced Manufacturing Community Forum

Advanced Manufacturing is one of three crucial Orange County industry sectors that generates large numbers of job opportunities at all levels of educational attainment

Overview

On Wednesday, March 23, 2016, thought leaders from local Advanced Manufacturing companies, local parent organizations and public workforce development convened for a fast-paced and interactive Community Forum.

The Orange County STEM Initiative, Orange County Department of Education, Orange County Workforce Investment Board, Orange County United Way, OCTANe and key community partners hosted the Forum to provide an opportunity to discuss how parents can work with educators and industry partners to develop well-rounded education for students that will meet the needs of their future employers, particularly in Advanced Manufacturing.

The 2016 Community Forum Series is designed to educate and engage attendees with concise information/presentations followed by candid dialogue sessions in a rapid efficient format!

The Forum included:

  • Focus on Advanced Manufacturing and its impact–locally and globally
  • Quick and simple tutorial on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and Orange County labor market
  • Spotlight on STEM / Career Tech innovations from across the Nation
  • Breakfast to fuel the conversations and more!
